Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most well-known role is Bo who is from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk is an actress from Canada born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay is the director of drama and producer in St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. The father of Silk, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest memories are of attending the play school and watching her mother work. Silk made several commercials while she was still in the midst of her childhood. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged two plays in the early years: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Silk met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training in Los Angeles in 2007. Following their engagement in 2008, they were married in the year 2009. After she had converted to Judaism and they were married again in a Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on 13 May 2016. Silk's work on television includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk announced to her fans that she was pregnant in January 2013 at an episode of Showcase Season Three Special. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that she was ready to return to work. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially declared the start of final season of production. Silk's portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the most popular Television Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Due to Silk's popularity Silk has earned a significant presence on social media.
